Concussions can include a wide variety of symptoms that can impact many systems of the body. An initial evaluation will include a screening for vestibular, ocular, cervical and cognitive deficits. Patients no longer need to passively wait for concussion symptoms to resolve. Research is supporting an active recovery when carefully guided by a trained clinician. Post-concussion therapy can help improve recovery of balance, gaze stability, focus and mood to allow return to work, school or play.
Orthopedic Physical Therapy will help you return back to sport or activities of daily living following injury or surgery. It includes restoring joint mobility, flexibility, stability, muscle strength and power so you can get back to the important things in your life!
Pilates can be personalized to help athletes and nonathletes alike. With athletes it can be utilized for injury prevention and improved athletic performance. In nonathletes the improvements made in core strength/stability, balance, coordination, mind-body awareness and power can help manage aches and pains allowing for improved participation in all aspects of life.
